The Upper Sugar River Watershed Association’s Annual Meeting on Sunday March 8, 2015 will feature a free screening of the award winning documentary “The Price of Sand.”  The film covers the major increase in frac sand mines in Minnesota and Wisconsin, why sand has become such a valuable commodity and what some of the consequences have been in the mining communities.

Geologist Jay Zambito from the Wisconsin Geological & Natural History Survey will be on hand to answer question about frac sand mining, and an annual update on the Upper Sugar River Watershed Association will be presented.
