First Sugar River clean-up of the year!

It’s time to dust off those waders! Summ-er is nearly here and in order to make sure the river is safe and navigable for paddlers we need to begin our river clean up days.  The first day this season will be THIS TUESDAY, May 14 at 9am. Please call Bill Keen at – 608-212-6756 if you wish to attend. Due to this spring’s severe rainstorms, there are several larger trees that have fallen into the river and would require canoes to portage.  If you can help out, please wear waders (the water is still chilly), work gloves, and bring a hand saw or loppers if you have them.  Due to the nature of the work, we ask that volunteers be at least 16 years of age. Thank you! Paddle safe and paddle often!
